I fished june 5th and the 6th with 2 new clients and 2 new great freinds. I picked Jerry and Russel up at Rivers Edge resort at the Wisconsin Dells. We planed on fishing a day on the river there but with high water and strong cuurent, we decided to go Lake Wisconsin, which is down river from the Dells. The fish at the Dells are fish that migrate up the Wisconsin River form Lake wisconsin during the spring  spawning.  These fish have been done spawning for some time now and a lot of them migrate back down  to the lake.  We started out trolling with in-line planer boards and lead core poles. We ran 3 poles of both sides of the boat for the walleyes and saugers.  The baits we used were flicker shads and glass raps in various colors. On the first pass after we got all the lines in we had 2 walleyes to the net , the fish were coroperating right away for us. We made a few passes through some of my way points on the gps and we were getting some fish on most of our runs down the lake. Then the rain came in.

So  we fished from 8 am. on wed. and got chased off the water for awhile with some cold temps and a cold rain. So we picked up the rods and headed to Lake side bar for a burger and to warm up for awhile. Got some food in us and everyone was warmed up again so back out on the lake we went in the Lund boat to finish out the day of fishing for walleyes. Emediatley we were getting some fish again, only thing was getting the keeper size ones in the live well . We got 2 keepers and about 20 short walleye and saugers for the half day trip.

On thursday they were calling for more rain and thanks goodness we never got rained today. The bite was pretty good with about 30 fish. We had a mixed bag of fish today with walleyes, saugers and a few whitebass as well.  It was a great time fishing with Jerry and Russel for the 2 day half day trips in some nasty weather for sure. The water temps dropped 8 degrees since tuesday on the lake.      On thursday we did a shore lunch at on of the parks on the Wisconsin river at the end of the day. We cooked up some walleye and sauger along with some fried potatoes and beans.  It was ome great food they said.

Thanks Jerry and Russel for jumping in the lund for 2 days
